Hi - am thinking of fitting one of the flip up dog guards (THE GUARD IS EQUIPPED WITH TWO GAS FILLED STRUTS WITH AUTO LOCKING FUNCTION WHEN THE GUARD IS RAISED OR LOWERED). The extra seats are fitted in the boot at the moment . can anyone tell me if the two can be fitted at same time. If so, will the dog guard be safe in the up position or will I have to remove the dog guard each time. thanks ken

should be safe as long as their is life in the struts. it's only a 5 minute job to remove should you see fit!

It is a pain with children in the very rear seats with a dog gaurd. They will keep playing with it! Pulling it down on themselves. Also as it was very close to the heads of 8 year olds. I ended up taking the dog gaurd out and selling it.

Hi. I have 1999 V70XC with the Volvo Dog guard and extra rear seats. They do fit but as Kevinbis has stated with children or even adults in the back it could be a pain. Which is the greater need?
