I know a lot of cars are now modded with clear indicator lenses and use amber bulbs and thus pass their mots So, I'm baffled by the following. Looked at last year's mot on my 760 online and it got an advisory that the red plastic area of the rear light section that covers the rear light bulb is faded. However, I note that day OR night the light when on clearly shows as red, as red as the other side A strange discrepancy in mot law here or a wrong advisory or correct one? Thanks

If you think the red could do with a top up you can buy to do this. The above link is just an example of what's available. One, max two, coats is sufficient. If you don't like it you can always remove it.

There may be a simple answer to this, perhaps previous owner was given an advisory warning and acted on it, then changed the lens prior to you buying the vehicle. MOT records would not be updated to show this. Regards, Richard VOC 3801.
