v70 electric memory seat wont remember me

Hi, Can anyone help me, I have just bought a 2002 v70 d5 se with electric drivers seat with 3 memory settings. I have read the manual and done what it says but the seat and mirrors still remember the previous owners postions, which is nothing like mine so everytime i unlock the care i have to adjust the mirror and seat, which after a few weeks is starting to get on my nerves. I have disconected the battery to see if it would lose the memory but no luck. I only got one key/fob with the car so can't use any other. please help me! Thanks Andy

I'm having the same problem!!!

Im sure I had to hold down the "mem" and "#1" button for several seconds, until I felt a vibration in the seat. Is that what it says in the manual?

How long did you disconnect the battery for? Mine always get wiped when the battery's been disconnected to work on the car.

Andy, I know it was last year you raised this memory seat problem, did you resolve it? I have the same situation with a newly acquired '04 V70; on my previous 850 the memory worked like a dream. The V70 memory seems to have a mind of it's own, as do the mirrors. Ian
